Hello,

I have checked IDCAMS LISTCAT description but its main purpose to check whether file is available or not .
Sorry, but NO it is not. . . Suggest you re-read the manual about what LISTCAT really does do. If you believe you have found IBM documentation that says LISTCAT is primarily used to check file availability, post that bit form tha manual and someone here will be able to clarify.

My requirement is to do the changes without the use of program.
That is not a requirement. That is somewhat poor direction on "how to" rather than "what to" which would be a requirement.

Can you please tell us are we doing correct or not ?
Until everyone has the same understanding of what needs to be done we can't say if it is correct. The best way to get to this understanding is if you post the "input" and "output" and explain the rules for processing. If you see this as multiple processes, show the inputs and outputs from each step.
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
