How to mount a Dataset under linux?

Postby uw.antony » Wed Feb 09, 2011 9:25 pm

as a noobe of mainframe, I have to ftp my CNTL jobs from and to a PDS dataset on the host.
I wonder if there is a way to mount the dataset and I can access and edit it as it is a local dir.
something similar like sshfs is what I need.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

If the data is in a mainframe pds, why not simply edit the member(s) directly on the mainframe?
Hope this helps,

z/FS Distributed File Service supports access to mainframe data sets from networked PCs. However, I don't find anything in the manuals about accessing them from Unix or Linux.
