Determine TIMEOUT on a INVOKE SERVICE command

I've been trying to change the timeout for a single INVOKE , by setting a value and putting the DFHWS-RESPWAIT container on the channel used with the INVOKE, but that doesn't seem to work. what takes affect is the RESPWAIT attribute of the PIPELINE definition.

does anyone have any experience with the subject ?
