so You might just have nothing to do apart writing Your jcl according to
the suggestions given by Your support. AMEN

hit enter too early ...

SMS ACS routines determine if a dataset is eligible for compression
and all You might have to do is to use a dataset NAME pattern that gets routed
to extended and compressed allocation
or ( worst approach )
if allowed fromYour installation standards override the ACS choices and
specify the appropriate keywords on Your dd statements

see here
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocente ... d4404b.htm

but again for the zillionth time
ASK YOUR SUPPORT
cheers

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

You have also been given at least 2 suggestions - what is wrong with them? Explain before asking for more suggestions.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
