Sort in VB file



IBM's flagship sort product DFSORT for sorting, merging, copying, data manipulation and reporting. Includes ICETOOL and ICEGENER

Generally a V/VB will contain variable-length records, so sorting starting at 1 will put them in length order. If all the lengths are the same, why is it a V/VB file?
