COBOL Message: OVERFLOW RECORD HAS BEEN SKIPPED

Postby pongmeister » Sun Mar 15, 2009 12:30 am

When running a job with cobol batch program I get the following message:

SSMF STEP I/O OVERFLOW RECORD HAS BEEN SKIPPED

It appears the job is not reading the entire input file. I've never seen this message before. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello,

To get help, you need to post more complete info. . .

Somewhere there is information you haven't posted. When posting a message from the system, you need to post what generated the message as well as the message id.

It appears the job is not reading the entire input file.
What gives this appearance?
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
