What has this to do with COBOL?
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

Priority, as its name suggests, determines whether a job will be run sooner or later than other jobs WITHIN THAT CLASS.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

Hello,

You probably should not specify priority at all and you should use only the class(es) you are intended to use.

This is completely site-specific, so you need to ask your seniors or your system support people.
Hope this helps,
