Cant find linkedit OBJ files

Postby jhunterthompson » Tue Jan 31, 2012 8:29 pm

I am not sure this is the right forum., if not I apologize.

I am trying to link edit a program which includes the following OBJ files.

** MODULE IPNRACCP
** MODULE IPNRBIND
** MODULE IPNRCLOS
** MODULE IPNRCONN
** MODULE IPNRERRD
** MODULE IPNRGETH
** MODULE IPNRLIST
** MODULE IPNRRECV
** MODULE IPNRSELE
** MODULE IPNRSEND
** MODULE IPNRSETS
** MODULE IPNRSHUT
** MODULE IPNRSOCK

It was my understanding these are included in TCP/IP but when I have my TCP/IP first in my libdef linkedit fails as all of the OBJ files in my TCP/IP userlib just say to include IPNRSTUB.

My sysadmin insists we have TCP/IP 1.5F installed but the file dates of the OBJ files are form 1999 and 1.5F was released in 2003.

I guess my question is, where do these OBJ files come from?

Thanks

... completely wrong place ...
the problem is not COBOL related
is not even ZOS related as are all the topics discussed here

since it is VSE related You might be better off asking somewhere else or tampering again Your support

general comment ...
the fact that something was released on a certain date does not imply that all the components were rebuilt
or that something would not be reused from a previous <build>
