Postby akhilesh » Wed Oct 24, 2007 12:29 pm

Hi,

I want to run a job which does its work (eg creating ps files or deleting files etc) & also call's other job which is written in a ps file.
i.e.
How to run a job from another job ?

job1 ---(submitted)------> calls job2 stored in another file.

Can Anyone help me in this??????

Hello,

job1 ---(submitted)------> calls job2 stored in another file.
If you post the jcl for job1 and job2, we can help you do what you want.

Without seeing your 2 sets of jcl, i suspect that adding a step to job1 to "send" job2 thru the internal reader will do what you want.
Hope this helps,

My guess: the solution is the intenal reader.

The last step in job-1 is an IEBGENER with SYSUT1 the job in the PDS and SYSUT1 as SYSOUT with INTRDR.

But like Dick wrote; only if we see the stuff we can advise correctly.
