Program not found when submitting JCL

Postby Stanley » Fri Nov 30, 2007 12:38 pm

When I try to submit a JCL using Micro Focus Net Express on Windows/AIX, the job gets started and I get an error saying that "Program not Found - <program Name> (This is the program on which I do an EXEC PGM) and JCLCM0192S STEP ABENDED SCM - COND CODE S806.

I have tried copying the program into all possible directories.

Anything needs to be done on the catalog side ?

Kindly let me know.

Hello Stanley and welcome to the forums,

It sounds like there is a misunderstanding in what you are trying to do.

If you are running on the mainframe, there are no directories.

Do you have the mainframe output from a successful compile? That output will show you where the executable was created.

The "loadlib" where the excutable was created must be part of the run - it may be specifically named in the jcl or be found dynamically as part of the "link list".

The 806 is the "program not found" error (mostlikely).
Hope this helps,
