TWS and special resource availability with JCL/PGM

Postby Leviathan7 » Fri Nov 29, 2013 8:05 am

Hello,

I'd like to know if there is a way to check the current availability, and if it's possible, the quantity of a special ressource without using the
TWS interface.

I've been using a jcl with the pgm EQQEVPGM to modify a special resource availabilty and quantity but it can only modify and gives no information on the current status.
I've tried to use the pgm EQQYCAIN but it's the same problem : you attach/delete special ressources but it gives no information on the current status.

So, is it possible or do I have to manually check it every time ?

Thanks.

The manual mentions a CSRCOM resource which looks as though it should give you what you want using the PIF.

I haven't tried it myself though.

Yeah,

After reading the PIF manual, I must admit this looks really promising.
I'll look more into it.

Thanks a lot.
