Copy Panvalet Members to a PDS

Postby Nurani » Wed Mar 10, 2010 3:26 am

Hello,

I am currently required to Copy all existing Panvalet members to a PDS (Partitioned Data Set). I tried using the normal 3.3 option with the "From" as the Panvalet Datasource and the "To" as a newly allocated PDS. This doesn't work. I need to get the actual program (In Panvalet) copied. How can I do this?

This is kind of Urgent and Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum,

If it is truly urgent, ask the person who supports Panvalet on your system. They will have the fastest answer for you system. . .

Suggest you look into running the Panvalet utility in batch to do this. . .
Hope this helps,

This is an old thread and over the time I got to work with Panvalet, Okay enough about reviving the old thread ...:D

Actually, Panvalet-libraries are of Record-format : F and Record-length : 0 and this is not which will be honored by ISPF 3.3. However, there are ways of doing a copy from Panvalet to PDS but that's through Panvalet interface. Using this interface, one can generate copy-jobs, however, this will differ shop-to-shop.

Hope this helps.
