How to browse spool datasets in Hercules Turnkey mvs

Postby Vinayak » Thu Apr 08, 2010 8:59 pm

Hi all,
I have installed and successfully using the Hercules turn key mvs emulator, but i am having problems in browsing spool datasets for errors after submiting JOBs or compiling programs. I can see the output by TSO OUTPUT command but i am not able to see errors in my programs.
Please help i have tried all the options available on nets but i am not getting the proper output.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Have you asked on the Hercules forum? We have a few Hercules users here, but not so many. . .
Hope this helps,

what You mean by ...
i am not able to see errors in my programs.

if the job name is correct, the job number is correct...
the TSO OUTPUT COMMAND will show the sysout for the job

did You check that the sysout class was properly defined/used

as an alternative You might put the output on a class that is spooled
and browse the printer file using one of the PC editors/browsers available
cheers

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort
