Support for NetApp SyncSort for z/OS, Visual SyncSort, SYNCINIT, SYNCLIST and SYNCTOOL

Dear all,

I need information on Pipe Sort and Syncsort.

please can you suggest me whats the difference between syncsort and pipesort and which is more efficient, On what factors efficiency will depend upon.

Did you try Googling pipesort. There are several results there which look as though they will provide the information you seek.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

It you have an actual question/requirement and post it here, someone may have a suggestion.

PipeSort is a value-added product. You must have SyncSort for z/OS in order to use PipeSort. PipeSort executes multiple sorts simultaneously from a single read of input data. For more information, please contact me offline at and I would be happy to assist you.
