Hello,

Topic has been relocated to the Syncsort part of the forum.

see am using pgm=sort not using dfsort or syncsort
Suggest you learn how to identify the product name and release/version for all of the products you are using (i.e. your sort, Easytrieve, etc). This information may be critical to answering your questions.
Hope this helps,
d.sch.

What is that You did not understand when You were told

why post in the JCL section ?
You should have noticed that there are two sections expressly for <SORT> related questions
find out which <SORT> flavor You are running ...
( ICE... messages indicate DFSORT, WER... messages indicate SYNCSORT )
and post Your questions there
both DFSORT and SYNCSORT sections are followed by TOP experts from the relative companies
so just by asking in the right place You will get answers directly for the best!

even if for the most part the two products behave in the same way and accept the same parameter
to find the bes fir solution it is necessary that the people willing to help know what <SORT> product
You are using, otherwise everybody is wasting time here.
( 34 posts is quite unusual for such a requirement )

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort
