To Clear Initial Macro

Postby jaggz » Sat Jun 01, 2013 8:18 am

Hello,

Sometime Long back while opening a PS file by mistake I typed "RE" characters(which Inturn took in Initial Macro Space), so after that whenever I open(Edit Mode or View Mode) a PS or PDS member I get a message as "IKJ56500I COMMAND RE NOT FOUND".

Could someone please shed more light on Clearing this Initial Macro error pop Up.

Initial macros do not normally get specified in a pop-up but on the dataset selection panel where there is a field spcifically for that.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

Hello,

I found the solution for clearing the wrong macro whenever you open a PS or PDS member you get some error like "IKJ56500I COMMAND xxxxxxxx NOT FOUND". So the easy solution is well documented at : http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg21218768 .

Hope it helps for needy one.

Thanks and Regards,
Jaggz

I've done that too. I had to ask how to fix it.

We can fix this issue by following below steps:

1. goto 3.4 and search for your PDS
2. go into edit/view mode in PDS
3. give '/' in command and prompt field like below
step1.jpg

4. On the next screen select 14 option like below
step2.jpg

5. On next screen clear-out 'Initial Macro' if anything entered
