Yes, until it is supported, I think that is the best way to go. In the Easytrieve program treat them all as fixed, which just happen to have the ODO value, and then use the FILE EXIT program to actually make the tables variable only when outputting the record. Avoids a lot of "clutter" in the Easytrieve program.
