Hello,
i would like to know what are the enreg's type of deleting datasets to catalog by a user.
Because we have several datasets (non VSAM) deleted a week ago.
Thank's for your help.

What is "enreg"? SMF record types 17 and 18 may be generated for deleting / renaming a non-VSAM data set; as always, your site may -- or may not -- capture these record types.

Record Type : 65 : Does it work if it's a user who has deleted the dataset ?

From
MVS System Management Facilities (SMF) for (presumably) your z/OS release -
Record type 65 is written during any processing that results in a DELETE request to Catalog management services, such as:
IDCAMS
DELETE
IEHPROGM
UNCATLG
It does not state this explicitly, though "any" implies JCL (e.g., DISP=(OLD,DELETE)) as well other agents like ISPF 3.2 or 3.4 that may delete a catalog entry.

SMF type 65 is really the uncatalog part of the delete process. In other words deleting a non-cataloged dataset will not create a type 65 - but it will create a type 17. And it doesn't matter who or what did the delete.
