Hello and welcome to the forum,

What is GVEXPORT? Who is the vendor?

The best source for this info is the product documentation.

You are performing an EXPORT
It will stop if an error is encountered
Two copies of the output will be produced

Of course YOU could have found this in the manual yourself.

Hello,

Who is the vendor? Knowing who the vendor is may help us help you.

You do currently have a license to use this product?

Dick,

The product is FAVER, probably one of the best VSAM backup / restore products around.

Bought by CA - just for a change :?

Dick,

As mentioned by Expat the product is FAVER and it is a VSAM backup / restore utility.

Does anyone know which is better for VSAM backup/ restore....ADRDSSU or GVEXPORT ? how different are these from each other?

Thanks.

Comparing FAVER against Dfdss is like comparing a Porsche 911 against a transit van.
FAVER is faster, more user friendly, has lots of options that Dfdss doesn't
