Novice help with unloaded data sets...

Postby Unshriven » Mon Nov 02, 2009 5:07 am

I'm 3 weeks into my mainframe training. The last excersize we had to do was to code IEBCOPY to allocate a data set. I don't have the code with me but I read SYSUTI1 to read an existing PD and SYSUTI2 to output it as a PDS.

I kept getting an error that I was using an unloaded data set. I am not sure I understand the concept.

You need to post the output showing the error messages and codes.

Hello,

It will also help if you post the jcl and control statements that were submitted.

SYSUTI1 to read an existing PD and SYSUTI2 to output
There appear to be typos here. . .
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
