Strange -- I thought the manual was quite clear:
20.23.2 Subparameter Definition

*
Indicates that the system is to restart execution (1) at the beginning of or within the first job step or (2), if the first job step calls a cataloged or in-stream procedure, at the beginning of or within the first procedure step.
So exactly what part of this manual explanation do you not understand?

Hello,

Manual not help..
Which manual did not help?

What are you trying to accomplish or are you doing research on something you have heard about?

Restart=* , what will happen??
When you are looking for help, you need to invest some time/effort into presenting your question/problem. This would also be a good time to practice English. We can probably help with both.

Hello,

I really didnt get any answer for this from anyone.
Yes, you did get an answer - it just was not what you wanted. . . You were given an exact quote from the IBM documentation - the best source of this information.

You say the manual did not help, but will not clarify this.

The manual describes the handling of RESTART on a JOB quite clearly. You need to read the manual and if something is not clear, you need to post what you found that was not clear to you and your doubt. There is no reason for someone here to regurgitate what is written the manual because you are unwilling to review the documentation. Look here:
http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/ ... b690/20.23

and bookmark the manual - you should use this manual often. . .
