Concatenating all generations in a GDG

Postby yogeshvalhe » Wed Apr 20, 2011 4:37 pm

Hello,

I have a requirement to concatenate all the generations of a GDG into a single dataset. My GDG has 90 generations and here I want to concatenate all these 90 generations into a single file.

Is there is utility to do this?

Thanks,
Yogesh

No, there is not.

I don't know if you know this, but if you allocate a DD to the GDG base only, all of the corresponding generations will be concatenated together.

See this other topic.

If you had searched first, and if you read all posts on the forum, you would find that this exact question is being answered at this exact time in this very section of this very same forum. Why do you not keep your eyes open and unblinkered? You will never learn or be productive unless you do so.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
