Using SARBCH program

Postby pushkal2gud » Wed Apr 25, 2012 3:11 am

Hi All,

I am able to extract abended jobs info from SAR using SARBCH program. One thing I want to check is that is there any way using SARBCH program that we can extract the data which came into SAR after a particular time.

For eg. If I ran my job now and it extracts the job abend info from SAR, the next time i am running it, it shouldn't fetch the same data again rather it can start searching for data after that particular time it last checked. It is just a performance tuning issue as every time the job is ran. It fetches the data again and gain and thereby increasing the time for which the job is running.

Can anyone update me for the same? Thanks in advance.

Regards
Pushkal

Check for Batch cycles end job so that you can schedule your SARBCH job after that

Hi Premkrishnan

Batch cycles run for 24*7. So I can't schedule it like that.

Do you have documentation? I'd be surprised if you don't find out how to do it that way.

If your site has a licence for the product, the documentation will be somewhere or can be obtained. Talk to your support people or whoever deals with the vendor.
