HI All,
While playing around SDSF I found something strange between our two LPARs. In our test lpar I could display a command (D NET,CPCP) and I could see its output in ULOG.
SDSF ULOG CONSOLE A041425 LINE 0 COLUMNS 20- 99
COMMAND INPUT ===> SCROLL ===> CSR
********************************* TOP OF DATA **********************************
11:16:20.85 ISF031I CONSOLE A041425 ACTIVATED
11:16:33.40 -D NET,CPCP
11:16:33.40 STC51230 IST097I DISPLAY ACCEPTED
11:16:33.41 STC51230 IST350I DISPLAY TYPE = CP-CP SESSION STATUS
IST1765I ADJACENT CP WINNER LOSER STATE
IST1766I CLK1.CDRMCLK ACT ACT UP
IST1454I 1 ADJCP(S) DISPLAYED
IST314I END
******************************** BOTTOM OF DATA ********************************
But in production lpar I could not see the whole command output.
SDSF ULOG CONSOLE A041425 LINE 0 COLUMNS 02- 81
COMMAND INPUT ===> SCROLL ===> CSR
********************************* TOP OF DATA **********************************
CKP1 2015176 11:18:34.72 ISF031I CONSOLE A041425 ACTIVATED
CKP1 2015176 11:18:38.11 -D NET,CPCP
CKP1 2015176 11:18:38.12 STC12364 IST097I DISPLAY ACCEPTED
******************************** BOTTOM OF DATA ********************************
what is restricting my production lpar in displaying the output in ulog?

Re: Command output not displayed in ULOG
Contact your site support group. SDSF commands and their output can be restricted by the site (and for each LPAR).

Re: Command output not displayed in ULOG
Probably the sysprogs by the way they have determined which messages should be logged. This does not have to be the same for all LPARs.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

Re: Command output not displayed in ULOG
Hi Robert/NicC,
I m the sysprog for our shop. I have checked MPFLSTxx and I could not find anything regarding the suppression of these messages. Where else should I look into? Any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Command output not displayed in ULOG
hi..
please check that you have opened same ulog session in some other panel.
this will suppress the o/p to be displayed.
*Ensure only one ULOG session is opened.

sam_jj12, you are a bit late to the party - almost a whole year. Please leave sleeping topics sleeping.
