What's the difference of Catalog DataSet & Uncatalog Dataset

TSO Programming, ISPF, SDF, SDSF and PDF, FTP, TCP/IP Concepts, SNA & SNA/IP etc...

What's the difference of Catalog DataSet & Uncatalog Dataset

In Data Set Utility Panel,there are two utilities named Catalog Data Set and Uncatalog Data Set?
What's the difference between them?

Are you familiar with what a "system catalog" is and why datasets might be in the catalog or not?

Sometimes it's difficult to respond to a question when we don't know how much you already know.

"Uncatalog Dataset" is not something you should "play with" to see what happens. . .
