What JES command to change DEST

Postby allentownsend4321 » Thu Mar 12, 2009 7:52 pm

Anyone know what JES command you would use to change DEST ?

We want to capture all production output that gets loaded to IBM OnDemand online repository and route a copy of
those reports to the Disaster Recovery OnDemand server.
The plan was to change all OnDemand output DISP parameter to KEEP so a copy would be in HELD Class and then
use OPS MVS rule to change the class and DEST to route the held output to the DR server. We're not sure how to
have automation change DEST parameters since there will be multiple DEST parameters that need to be changed and
will not be just one global dest.

Any thoughts?

Hello Allen and welcome to the forum,

Does OnDemand have a backup/restore function?

Rather than dealing with the jobs one at a time, might periodically making a copy to load on the d/r server do what is needed?

If you post the jcl for one step that creates OnDemand output it may help. I'm not familiar with using DISP with spooled output :?
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
