Friends,

Kindly note the following and let me clear how the space calculation taking place.

I used tso option 3.2 to allocate a ps data set with the following parameters( 2 cases)

Case 1:

SPACE REQUESTED = BYTES
RECFM=FB
LRECL=13
BLKSIZE=13

Showing in data set information like allocated bytes is 10062

Case 2:

SPACE REQUESTED = BYTES
RECFM=VB
LRECL=13
BLKSIZE=17

Showing in data set information like allocated bytes is 1462

Kindly let me know how the space calculation take place in this regard.

You need to contact your site support group and find out from them. There may be interaction between your parameters and SMS that could affect the space calculation; with SMS what you ask for is not always what you get.

Hi all,

I am a Mainframe Trainer. I think like I have not registered here in the forum. So I asked my student Bineesh to post the Query during our training session.

When I reached home and try to register in the site, the same shows username already exists. When I try to login, it was getting logged in.

And I realized my last post was on Dec 18, 2008.

Pardon me for posting the same again unknowingly. This is the first time and the same will be the last time also.

The reason behind posting from my login id was, whenever I got the reply I am not able to reply back from his id.
