Postby XY09 » Tue Jan 18, 2011 1:43 pm

Hi All,

I want to restrict the users not to have more than 15 printed jobs in his spool and if he is trying to submit a new job(i.e 16 th job) he used to get a message please clear the spool and pop-up SDSF panel.

Well good luck with it, then. Since you didn't ask any questions, all we can do is tell you "good luck".

Seems like a fairly pointless endevour. Assuming that the idea is to restrict the overall size of the spool, this means as a user I can just as easily have 15 x IEFBR14s, or 15 x hex dumps of million-record file on the spool. How does this restrict usage?

You can override the standard SUBMIT command with one of your own - see the TSO/ISPF manuals. You will probably become hated every time someone tries to submit a job and has to wait 5 minutes for the job to be submitted.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
