What kind of help do you need? Are you wanting to hire a contractor to come into your shop and move the data for you?

What have you tried? What utility would you use to move 1 record from tape to dasd? The same utility would not worry if there were millions of records to move although another may be more efficient.

Why do you mention SORT in your title when this is a TSO/ISPF forum? Did you read the forum rules first?

As NicC says, this forum is for TSO type questions, and in most shops you cannot use tape from TSO.

In any event, the DD statements define whether the input or output datasets are on disk or tape; any control statement just will say, in essence, to copy from a DD statement that defines a dataset on disk to a dataset on tape. The control statement, or statements, if any are required, do not require any device information.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Have you been able to do this?

Which sort product is used on your system?

As has been mentioned, your question should not be a tso/ispf question. Once we determine what you intend to use to copy the data, your topic can be relocated to a more approprate part of the forum.
