Hello and welcome to the forum,

If you mean that you have a 3.4 dataset list, "Edit" the partitioned dataset you want to add a member to.

On the member list screen, select a member like the one you want to create. In the command area type CRE YOURMBR and key C99999 in the first line sequence number.

Type CAN; S YOURMBR and you will be editing your new member and can change from the original to whatever you need for this member.
Hope this helps,
d.sch.

Hello,

One easy way is to copy a member from some other pds into your new pds (i'm not connected now, but i believe you want 3.3).
Hope this helps,

Or just enter the member name on the dataset selecion panel or on the command line enter 'S newmem' where newmem is the name of the member that you want to create.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

Suppose hlq.xx.yy.pds is your pds name.
your screen will look like this.
-------E------- hlq.xx.yy.pds(membername)

Type your member name in parantheses and type E in the line command and press Enter

You should be good to go..

in the 3.4 display against your empty pds
E /(newmbr)
If the code hasn't been changed, why is the LKED date today?
