Postby michel123 » Sat Nov 12, 2011 12:06 am

hello

I have a problem with the command that hilite playing tricks on me.
When I positioned HI cob cobol in a cobol's member, the color is right. But if, in the same PDS, I open a JCL's member containing JCL, it displays the coloration cobol ! And vice versa !

Why ?

The highlighting is determined by the type of library (third qualifier of three); it has nothing to do with the content of a member (which would be far too difficult and time-consuming to determine with even marginal reliability). Edit FOO.BAR.COBOL(anything), and it will be highlighted as COBOL.

Hi,

I called my PDS Mypseudo.COB.SOURCE. I renamed Mypseudo.CXX.SOURCE. This does not change. It takes the last command HILITE. if the last order is HI JCL, all members are colored like this.

Not always a concern. I have also the problem of only one PDS. For others, all goes well.
I get the message that appears at the bottom of the screen:

Color and symbol settings have been saved in the ISR application profile.
All other HILITE settings were saved in the edit profile.

try pf1 -> i -> h and then enter the number for hilite (may be on the next page). Then try the manuals. What did you find regarding Focus? Now, the hard part, use your brain - as far as I can remember FOCUS use COBOL-like syntax so try using COBOL colouring.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

Hello,

Suggest you try IBI Support (Information Builders). They can tell you if there is a hilighting option for Focus.

This would be an extension (i believe) rather than part of standard tso/ispf.
Hope this helps,
