Hi,
I am editing an data set in ispf, when i type @ it changes to spaces (x'40') so i checked the acsii ebcdic reference (after googling) and tried to type |, but it change to ] (X'BB'), I dont know why this is happening. Can any one help me out on this?

Any help wil lbe of great help.

This would indicate a problem with a mismatch of the z/OS code page and the one used by your emulator...

Check also the keyboard mapping of the emulator. Try logging on from someone else's laptop.

You did not indicate if it used to work, but does not work now or if this is your first time using ISPF editor.

Hi Prino, Pedro,
It was Mochasoft, i nvr encountered it problem ever, one of my junior encountered its the first time the SW installation. And I changed to keyboard mapping, as you ppl told. Its working fine now.

Have you informed the people who do the installations on the PC? It may be something they missed on that one installation but it could be something that is not on their installation check list and would need to be resolved to prevent future problems.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
