Enterprise Extender Question

Postby david6789 » Wed Mar 27, 2013 7:49 pm

I am new to the communications server portion on mainframes. The person I took over for had 30+ years and retired the day I was hired. I have been playing catch up ever since.

I am trying to setup an Enterprise Extender to replace an old DLSw connection. My first step is to determine what I have and what it does.

D NET,CPCP
IST097I DISPLAY ACCEPTED
IST350I DISPLAY TYPE = CP-CP SESSION STATUS
IST1765I ADJACENT CP WINNER LOSER STATE NODE ANDCB
IST1766I SSVALOV1.SYPPROD ACT ACT UP NN 1683A010
IST1454I 1 ADJCP(S) DISPLAYED
IST314I END

D NET,CDRMS
IST097I DISPLAY ACCEPTED
IST350I DISPLAY TYPE = CDRMS
IST089I SYCCDRM TYPE = CDRM SEGMENT , ACTIV
IST482I M01IBM81 ACTIV, SA 12, EL 1, NETID = SSEEA101
IST089I SYCCDRMS TYPE = CDRM SEGMENT , ACTIV
IST482I M02IBM81 ACTIV, SA 4, EL 1, NETID = SSEEA101
IST482I M03IBM81 ACTIV, SA 13, EL 1, NETID = SSEEA101
IST1454I 3 RESOURCE(S) DISPLAYED
IST3141 END

M01IBM81 is the EE connection to another Production LPAR.

M02IBM81 & M03IBM81 I assume one of these is the DLSw connection and one is the backup?

The only member I can find that has notes in it about M02 & M03 says they are

SYC CROSS DOMAIN RESOURCE MANAGER DEFINITIONS

How do I determine what these are and what they are being used for?
