Dear friends
How I can get the number of found items that retrived from FIND primary command.
In my source there is diffrent DSN in front of DFSVSAMP ddname but I want to specify a same DSN in front of any DFSVSAMP.
So I must find the number of DFSVSAMP and using :
"ISREDIT FIND  '//DFSVSAMP' 1 10"
"ISREDIT LINE .ZCSR = '//DFSVSAMP DD DSN=IMS.SYSIN.BUFPOOL(DFSVSAMP)'"
edit macro to doeing changs.
Is there a way to get the number of found items or another better way to doeing that changes?

Did you read the manual before posting? Did you read the manual section on FIND_COUNTS before posting?

what happened when you looked at the ISPF manuals
starting, for example, from here
http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/ ... s/ISPZPM70
not the latest ones but more than enough for the current need

NO it is not OK...

if You do not want to spend time training and reading there is no reason for us to waste our time on Your laziness and unwillingness to learn

and reading the manulas will certainly improve Your knowledge of english language
wiser for You to plan for a career in a less demanding profession :geek:

If you are not willing to spend the time to read the manuals, we are not willing to spend the time to read them for you. Responses on this forum are voluntary and done when / if the responder has the time; expecting you will get a faster response than reading the manuals yourself is not realistic.

Hello,

And yes, the task will remain more difficult until you invest the time to become more fluent with English.

We understand this and will help as we can, but the majority of learning how to deal with English is yours.
