Hello Mainframe Community,

I am a RACF security specialist by trade, and have configured more messaging queues in RACF than I would care to remember.

However other than blindly following my developers instructions around MQ I have no experience.

But I want to change that, I want to learn how the MQ series works, what is used for and how to set one up from start to finish.

I taught the community would be a great place to start, could any of your seasoned professionals please assist me.

Basically I am looking for a starting point, some pdf documents or manuals in which my learning should begin.

And I know google is my friend, but its throwing up some much material I looking for a little curation of whats best and where to start.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thank you very much for the reply.

Is there anyway to set up a sandboxed environment or like a lab to test out the practical aspects of setting up an Mq?
