Image copy for single tablespace took 10 hours to complete

Postby Antonyraj85 » Tue Aug 16, 2011 8:33 pm

Hi All,

We have scheduled DB2 Image copy job everyday with option "FULL YES SHRLEVEL CHANGE". Usually one particular tablespace took 2 hours to complete its copy operation. But the same tablespace took 10 hours in the ysterday's run. I have noticed, it is not delayed by tape mount(Verified in Job lob) or CPU(Ran CPU report). Is there any other possiblities are there to cause this delay(Specifically in DB2 side).

Some info:
Total Number of pages on the tape is 2075486 after the copy.
Total number of tracks in the DASD dataset is 1549257

Hello,

Possibly cpu, channel, or device contention.

Suggest you talk with the system support or scheduling people to learn if there was some kind of slow-down at that time.
Hope this helps,
