SQL error - 922

Postby p19689 » Tue Dec 20, 2011 10:35 pm

Hi , We are getting 922 on one of our COBOL programs after potential RACF changes and the RACF guy is on leave. This happens when it tries to do a INSERT into the Table 'EMPLOYEE'. I have checked all DB2 privilleges and looks OK but couldn't locate the error !
The Table OWNER is 'ABC' and Package owner is also 'ABC' and it's bound to a Collection (An old program) and ABC has execute on collection. the program runs via CA7 by the user XYZ . The user 'XYZ is a member of RACF group 'ABC' , which is the table owner. Could someone shade some light on this please ? What's I'm missing here , Thanks in advance.

Please give the error type and reason code.
"You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately ... Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!" -- what I say to a junior programmer at least once a day

That's one of the problems I'm having. I can't see any error type and reason code it just shows the message 'Update failed - SQL CODE : 00000922 - Contact IT Department ' . How can can I display the error type and the reason code please ?

If your RACF guy is on leave he should have a stand-in so ask that person. If there is no stand-in I am moving my business.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
