Hi Guys,

What is the difference b/w SYSCAT and SYSIBM. I have access to see SYSIBM but don't have access for SYSCAT. Where we generally use this SYSCAT. I saw the manual where I found some tables which are common to SYSIBM and SYSCAT both e.g., TABLES, VIEWS, COLUMNS, INDEXES. So do they contain anything different from SYSIBM

I believe that the SYSIBM schema contains the actual tables, whilst SYSCAT contains read-only views.
