Hello,
I'm trying to figure out how to set up a storage group (SG) in overflow SG.
I have 2 group storages: SG1 and SG2, SG1 is my main SG and SG2 will be the overflow SG.
SG1 contains 3 volumes of 33366 cylinders in enable and SG2 contains 2 volumes of 33366 cylinders in quiesce.
In ISMF, SG2 has the OVERFLOW parameter set to YES.
I also set the threshold parameters for the SG1 :
Allocation/Migration Threshold - High . : 50
Low . . : 1
Alloc/Migr Threshold Track-Managed - High: 50
Low : 1
Total Space Alert Threshold % . . . . . : 80
Track-Managed Space Alert Threshold % . : 80
I would like that once the threshold of 50% utilization of SG1 is reached, the allocations go to the overflow SG.
But it does not work ...
the allocations are done "randomly" on SG1 and SG2 ...
Can you help me ? thx
configure ismf for sg overlow
