I HAV SEEN ONE JCL
IN ONE DD STATEMENT THEY MENTIONED LIK TIS

DCB=IPOBAK.PATTERN.DSCB

WHAT IS THAT?
HOW TO CREATE THE IPOBAK.PATTERN.DSCB?

Wtih SMS, the pattern DSCB is obsolete.

With a PATTERN data set, the newly allocating file copies the attributes from the PATTERN. Any DCB parameters you specify on the DD will override the PATTERN DCBs.

thanks bill dennis...
ya i hav created one pattern dataset and copies some contents into it
i hav checked the information of the dataset by giving command "i" after copying....it has beed changed...
