NON SMS DATASET

Hi I have a non SMS dataset can I add non sms volumes to it using the command like ALTER (/) VOLUMES(MQAI05 MQAI06) to it?

The actual syntax would be

Code: Select all

atler / avol(?????? ??????)
where AVOL is the abbreviation for ADDVOLUMES (per the AMS for Catalogs manual).

I was reading further and found Although I can add and it worked fine too....One should ideally have it deallocated ....
