List of dataset in K7

Hi,

i would kike to obtaine the list of dataset which is in K7 in the catalog.

Is it possible to do it whith IDCAMS by DCOLLECT ?


Finally i would like to Uncatalog the Dataset whose the K7 is scrath.

Sorry, i don't know the english word for this. I talk about "Volser number".

Not a A dataset on DISK but on a volume...

Do you see what i mean ?

It sounds like you're talking about tapes, in which case I suppose K7 is one of the codes in your tape management system. However, only someone working AT YOUR SITE, knowing the tools available AT YOUR SITE, could possibly help you with such a request. Talk to your coworkers, or team leader, or site support group.

yes it is TAPE. Thank you.

I just thought i could use DCOLLECT ta have the liste of tape which are on Catalog.

From the AMS for Catalogs seciton 11.0 on DCOLLECT:
Restriction: Use the DCOLLECT command only with volumes that contain an MVS VTOC. If you use the DCOLLECT command with volumes that contain a VM VTOC, the DCOLLECT command fails and error message IDC21804I is displayed.
Since a tape volume does NOT have an MVS VTOC, you're not going to be able to use it to collect information about tapes.
