Volume Mount Analyzer

Postby DFuhr2010 » Wed May 09, 2012 7:47 pm

Using IBM Manual SC26-7413-02 ... DFSMS: Using the Volume Mount Analyzer

I cannot identify the Level 1 Keywords for analyzing the extract after gathering SMF Data.
My syntax is:
Date(05/03/2012,05/05/2012)
JOBNAME(INCLUDE(P0EFM015))

Keep receiving JOBNAME IS INVALID LEVEL 1 KEYWORD -- PLEASE CHECK FOR PROPER SPELLING

What have I miscoded. I am new to using this tool, but I am very familiar with DFSMS and ACS Coding.

Is there somewhere I can locate valid level 1 keywords so that I know what the program is expecting? It
is not documented in the manual above. Or I keep missing it.

Thank You Ahead of Time

I think you need to reread the fine manual. Nowhere is JOBNAME mentioned as a keyword. Or I missed it, too.

Mr Myers

Thank you for the response. Yes you are correct, of rme to re-read the manual. I had thought it was a single process, and only concentrated on the extract program. Further down in the manual you can filter on the analyze program, and low and behold it worked. Again thank you.
