Re: How application program reside in a region?
Hello,
Application source programs are compiled/linked and the executable is stored in a "load library". Source is typically "resides" in source libraries.
Suggest you talk with your IMS support for more specific info.

If you are in employment get yourself sent on an IMS course. If your bos says 'later' then do not worry about this as you obviously will not need it until 'later'. If you are studying this in a college of some sort then ask your tutor - they are paid to explain these things to you. If you are just wanting to know out of curiosity then the manuals are a place to start. Generally you would not need to worry about such things anyway unless you are a DBA or IMS sysprog. An application programmer or ops analyst just follows site methodology.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
