Hi:
I have see some cobol-idms programs, but i got a question.
In IDMS-CONTROL SECTION.
PROTOCAL.
MODE IS BATCH --sometimes MODE IS BATCH DEBUG, MODE IS IDMS-DC, MODE IS IDMS-DC DEBUG.
IDMS-RECORDS MANUAL---sometimes IDMS-RECORDS AUTOMATIC.
I don' know what does BATCH, IDMS-DC mean? Do they have some relationship with LOCAL MODE, CV MODE?
And also i want to know is when will we use MODE IS BATCH, MODE IS BATCH DEBUG, MODE IS IDMS-DC ?

What's the difference between IDMS-RECORDS MANUAL and IDMS-RECORDS AUTOMATIC?

Hello,

Suggest you look in the idms documentation - we have very few idms topics and (so far) no idms experts contributing info.

If your organization is licensed to use idms, all of the material may be downloaded from CA support for free.
