I work in a shop that runs huge Cobol batch and IMS systems, but there has not been any debugger here since they got rid of Xpediter in 2003. Apparently not that many people used it, which I find amazing. Our provincial department is the largest in the Ontario Public Service and I just can't see how developers get along without a debugger.

So, our systems people did some work to try and get the free LE debugger working here, but it is far from perfrect.

One of the major problems we are having is stepping into called subroutines. I had this working once, but forgot to write down the sequence of commands that achieved this, and ever since I have not been able to recreate that debugging environment.

So, if there is anyone out there that has experience using IBM's LE Deubgger and you know how to get called subroutines to display their source code, please let me know.
