z/OS to Win FTP, why file encoding ANSI / UTF-8?

z/OS to Win FTP, why file encoding ANSI / UTF-8?

Hello there,

My question is the following, with the same //SYSTCPD and //SYSFTPD cards, when I "FTP put" files to Windows, sometimes their final encoding is ANSI and other times it is UTF-8.

What is responsible for this variation?
