Dear All,

I have a VSAM file which contains more than 4 million records. Also I have a sequential file which contains approx. 50,000 key values of VSAM.

Aim is 'Using file-aid' can we get 50,000 records with key as in sequential file and copy to another VSAM file. In other words using File-Aid or File-Aid/batch can we read sequential file to extract particular records

Regards
Rahul

Dear Enrico,

I tried looknging multiple online options.

All talk about inline condition for condional copy. I have found no place where an input sequential file read to perform this activity. We have performed mentioned query with EZT but as per few standards we are looking for more peferable option using file-aid.

Well, if it isn't in the manual then it cannot be done. You will have to find some other way of doing it - possibly your sort prduct or, possibly better, a bespoke program.
