source code extraction

Postby jeroc » Tue Sep 18, 2007 2:23 pm

Hi all,

I need to extract source code automatically (by specifying a version number, an application or a part of an application, other criteria...) from Changeman ZMS 5.3.5 in order to transfer them onto a Windows server. Is there an API with a command language which can be used via a JCL?

I'm not currently a Serena customer but where can I find some documentation about that subject?

Thanks in advance for your ansmwers.

Regards

I can't really help, but their ZDD (Windows Explorer user interface) product might have what you want....

Thanks a lot. Do you know if this "interface" allows to extract set of source files via a batch?

The goal is to download an application (or a part of an application onto a Windows server.

I only know what is in the two page PDF that the link points to.....It does look like it will do what you want manually, and possibly scripted....

Ok, I am going to continue to investigate with this information. It is propbably the best way. But I'm suprised that there is no batch commands.

If you have other news, then don't hesitate to post it.

Thank you.

Hi,

I doubt you wanted to say "Changeman ZMF 5.3.5" & not ZMS. In change man, I usually download them to "notepad" via standards metnods, if I need. No direct method I'm aware of..
