Search problem

Postby BillyBoyo » Thu May 26, 2011 7:14 pm

We encourage people to search the fora, but when I searched for "variable length output record" I got:

The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: variable length record output.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

I was searching in Syncsort, but I guess it is the same in DFSORT.

What is the point in rejecting perfectly acceptable words in a search just because they are used a lot? And how should we suggest people search the "sort" fora, especially?
